These works are part of the entire strategy designed by the Head of Government to host the world's biggest sporting event. To this end, she led a meeting with the authorities of the 16 mayoralties to address security challenges, detailing the mobility and security plans that will be implemented this Saturday during the reopening of the Azteca Stadium, which will also serve as a 'dress rehearsal' for the sporting event. 'We could not celebrate the World Cup without attending to the entire community around the stadium with full rights,' she assured. As detailed by LPO, the Head of Government is already working on the FIFA World Cup, which will begin in June and will host five matches in the national capital. On Wednesday, she returned to Coyoacán to inaugurate ten new works that will benefit 80,000 people from that borough and Tlalpan. Likewise, she stated that 7,000 homes in the neighborhoods near the Stadium were benefited with rainwater catchers and solar heaters, and the intervention on the sidewalks and lighting along 34 kilometers of the Calzada de Tlalpan, as well as maintenance works on the Light Rail for a total of 1,400 million pesos.
